End of basketball season...

The young man in our home (he has shot right up this year and is now taller than mom! and sounds older too!) was blessed to play ball on the local homeschool team again this year. # 3 Blue

Due to only a few varsity players, some of the oldest Jr high team were able to play on both teams.

This has been an incredible experience for him!

His overall game has improved so much -- I am sure his growth spurt this year helped a bit too!

Well wanted to share a few pics along with today's FEAST!

Leviticus 19:1-18
Matthew 25:31-46

Praying you are able to spend time in God's word today!

the loose tooth

The little guy FINALLY lost it -- his tooth that is! Both cousins beat him -- but he FINALLY pulled it out yesterday :) He was very excited.

The older ones shared with him that there really isn't a tooth fairy but if he puts it under his pillow mom will give him something -- bum deal being the youngest! All the surprises are so deflated. He was still excited to find a quarter when he woke up (thankfully - mom remembered!!!)

Between gymnastics, play practice and 2 basketball games we will fit our FEAST in somewhere! May you have a blessed weekend!

Isaiah 58:9-14
9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
"If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
11 The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
13 "If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the LORD's holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
14 then you will find your joy in the LORD,
and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob."
The mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Luke 5:27-32
27After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, 28and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.
29Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
31Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

He's fine cause now he's 9

Had to make him stay in bed (he is our earliest riser so this was hard!) so he could have breakfast in bed... a special birthday treat!
A special treat having both sets of Grandparents around for the weekend! We had lots of fun.
Not sure who is scarier the little guys or the big one???? We are so blessed with this wonderful young man! Hard to know where all the years have gone, but its so special seeing the kind heart of this guy! Who desires to have fun, play like today may be the last day to do so, include the little guys (or gals) hold a baby, draw, read, and stratagize ways to build some new contraption.

May you grow more each day in your walk with Jesus and continue serving others with all your heart! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

then put it in a pot of boiling water.......

found a few other things,
like potatoes, carrots, celery, corn, meat,
tomato soup and some seasonings
let it cook a long time............
bake some flower rolls (flowers are always by rocks :))

sit down with the teacher to enjoy your creation!!!

STONE SOUP IS YUMMY!!!!!

When you think you don't have anything for dinner... just go out to your yard, find a ROCK and make your own STONE SOUP! :)

Fun with the boys

We enjoyed a LOVELY spring day today! We tried to stay outside as much as possible, picnic lunch, yard work and of course play too... here are a few other random pictures:

Big brothers are such a blessing!!! We couldn't stop laughing when the boys feed they open their mouth when the baby is supposed to open theirs (this shot caught the closing mouths together!)-- do you do that???
boy was that GOOD!
Ok this one is just plain goofy --- and you can tell whoever took the picture is laughing so hard they can hardly stand still!!! Yes our 8 year old is in the exersaucer!!! he is pretty spindly but still over the weight limit I think!

School work -- why write with my pencil when I can stick it to my nose???
hope this gives you a few laughs for today! more of the girls soon!
