seven ducks all in a row...

Seven little ducks all in a row pretty much never happens, unless Grandma K is here with her camera! We couldn't resist the header photo since it had 7 ducks and all :)

We are looking forward to keeping you updated on our "flock" via this blog-- we are well into our school year and its going well. Fun having 3 friends join us 4 days a week in our "one room school house"! Z is loving K and the others are doing very well in their studies too! We had a big science day again Friday, the little two boys had a science class this morning, then piano lessons, then a class at the conservation center about reptiles-- who doesn't love catching frogs??? We ended the day with PE -- a night of soccer: Mom and G play on the adult field (with some very talented players!) and the little 4 on the kids field at a friends house. Dad just cheers us all on! And just to keep us from feeling like we did school ALL day Z was playing in the creek and thought he should see if an old can had anything in it... then screaming, and running, and blood dripping down his fingers he made it to the house... he's OK but a nice slice on his thumb will remind him not to try that again! :( Dad rigged up a butterfly bandage to make it all better! (and no I didn't pass out, Dad did get home soon after it happened and I was glad to pass him off!)

Saturday we enjoyed an all day trip with our friends to experience school hands on: Huge Indian Mounds and then the zoo which is always a hit. We got lots of exercise to say the least! but it was a beautiful day around 80 and sunny.

PRAYER UPDATES: For those of you who have been praying with us for Gr Q, she is returned home Friday, PRAISE GOD! Her next chemo will be a week from Monday.
And for Lisa -- keep praying God will bring his miraculous healing. She will be leaving for intensive treatment one week from Sunday, being gone at least 3 weeks. Pray for all the details and funds to get worked out quickly!
May you have a blessed Sunday!
Love
Quak Flock Mama

Our Bible verse:
James 1:2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does
